Ma osztják ki az amerikai Televíziós Akadémia díjait, az Emmy-díjakat Los Angelesben. Tudósítónk az akadémia hivatalos Emmys Viewing Party-jának helyszínről élőben tudósít majd.

Helyi idő szerint szeptember 12-én, délután 4-kor megnyílik a vörösszőnyeg az idei Emmy-jelöltek és a meghívott vendégek számára. A tartalomszolgáltatók megjelenése óta  a sorozatok egyre szélesedő választéka átírta az egykori televíziózás történetét és így az Emmy-gálák jelentőségét is. Ma már a legnagyobb Hollywood-i nevekkel, A-listás sztárokkal találkozhatunk a sorozatok főszerepeiben és akár maga a volt amerikai elnök, Barack Obama is részt vehet narrátorként az amerikai nemzeti parkokról szóló ismeretterjesztő sorozatban.

Az Amerikai Televíziós Akadémia a közel három órás műsoridő alatt 37 kategóriában osztja ki a díjakat.

A legjobb sorozatok kategóriájában a Better Call Saul, az Euphoria, az Ozark, a Severance, a Squid Game, a Stranger Things, a Succession és a Yellow Jacket száll harcba. A legjobb vígjátékok közt a Ted Lasso, a Barry, az Abbott Elementary, a Curb Your Enthusiasm, a The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, A gyilkos a házban, és a What We Do in the Shadows verseng az Emmy-díjért.

A héten már megtartották a technikai Emmy-díjátaót, a Creative Emmys-t Los Angelesben, amelyen a magyar operatőr, Rév Marcell az Euphoria fényképezéséért elnyerte az Emmy-díjat. Erről itt írtunk:
